Mindfulness is also closely related to the concept of resilience: flexibility and the ability to overcome and even emerge stronger from difficult life situations. With Mindfulness, the left part of the prefrontal cortex is activated, which is the part that tends to approach challenges and difficulties, instead of avoiding them.
